Jason T. Moss, Esquire
Managing Attorney
Jason is the president at the law firm Moss & Associates, Attorneys P.A., where he focuses exclusively in the areas of litigation and bankruptcy. His firm received the 2003 South Carolina Bar Pro Bono Law Firm of the Year. In the years 19, 20, 21, he was awarded Lawyers of Distinction “Excellence in Bankruptcy” and Expertise.com named Best Bankruptcy Attorney in Columbia. Mr. Moss earned his Bachelor of Science Degree from the University of South Carolina, Magna Cum Laude, and his Juris Doctor from the University of South Carolina School of Law. He was also elected into the prestigious national honor society Phi Beta Kappa. Mr. Moss is Federally Licensed, a member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association and the National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys. He has spoken at the South Carolina Bankruptcy Lawyer Association Annual Seminar, The South Carolina Bar and NBI.
Roger Pruitt
Attorney
Graduated from Charleston School of Law in 2018. Roger began working for Moss & Associates in March 2001 and worked for the law firm in both the Columbia and Florence offices until August 2005 when Reed Law Firm split from the law firm. There he was the lead paralegal for the law firm in the Florence, South Carolina office. Roger returned to Moss & Associates in March 2013 and has continued to work for the law firm in both the Columbia and Charleston offices ever since. Prior to working for Moss & Associates, Roger was the bankruptcy representative for American General Finance and has worked in the bankruptcy field for the past 28 years. Roger further earned his Bachelor’s Degree in History from Ashford University in 2010 and his Master’s Degree in History from the University of Nebraska at Kearney in 2013. While in law school Roger served as the Treasurer of the Federal Bar Association-Student Division. In addition to his job at Moss & Associates, Roger teaches Business Law as an Adjunct Professor at South Carolina State University. Roger also serves on the Bankruptcy Advisor Committee for the District of South Carolina Bankruptcy Court and on the Best Case Client Advisory Board helping evaluate the Best Case Bankruptcy Software.
Roger is married and has 5 children, with his wife and son also working as bankruptcy professionals. In his spare time, when he has any, he likes to play baseball with the Columbia Saturday Baseball League and do things with his family.
Chris Edwards
Attorney
Chris grew up in Columbia, SC and graduated from Irmo High School. He served in the Army before attending college. Chris completed his undergraduate studies at the University of South Carolina where he obtained a degree in Criminal Justice and one in Psychology. Chris then served as a police officer in the Charleston, SC area before deciding to further his studies by attending the University of South Carolina School of Law. He became a licensed attorney in 2002 and began his legal practice with the law firm of Moore, Taylor & Thomas in West Columbia, where he practiced in the areas of civil litigation and criminal defense. Chris became the attorney for the Greenville office of Moss & Associates, Attorneys P.A. in 2004, where he practices in the areas of bankruptcy and consumer law.
In 2017, Chris was selected to be a professor at Clemson University where he teaches law to undergraduate students in the Powers College of Business as well as students in the Clemson’s Master of Business Administration Program
Mr. Edwards is a member of the South Carolina Bar, the South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association, J. Bratton Davis Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, SC State Constables Association. Expertise named him Best Bankruptcy Attorney in Greenville.
Christian Waites
Attorney
Christian is the associate attorney for the firm’s Charleston office. He earned his Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the College of Charleston and his J.D. degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. While in law school, Mr. Waites was the President of the South Carolina Association of Justice’s law school chapter and was published in the South Carolina Law Review. Christian was admitted to the South Carolina Bar in 2016 and practices in the areas of bankruptcy and consumer law. He is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, Young Lawyers Division, South Carolina Bankruptcy Law Association, National Association of Consumer Bankruptcy Attorneys, and the J. Bratton Davis Bankruptcy American Inn of Court. Expertise named him Best Bankruptcy Attorney in Charleston. Prior to joining the firm, he clerked for The Honorable L. Casey Manning of the South Carolina Fifth Judicial Circuit and practiced with a local insurance defense firm. Outside of his practice, he enjoys spending time with family, cooking, and is an avid fan of the South Carolina Gamecocks.
Peter Korn
Attorney
Pete was born in Chicago in 1945. He received his BA degree in Economics in 1968 from Northern Illinois University. In 1969 he was a marine rifle platoon leader in Vietnam. He received his JD degree in 1974 from the University of South Carolina School of Law. Mr. Korn has over 43 years experience in the areas of real estate, mortgage foreclosure and retail collection. He co-authored the foreclosure manual for the SC Bar. Mr. Korn has been designated counsel for Freddie Mac and retained counsel for Fannie Mae. Korn Law Firm was an early member of the USFN. Mr. Korn has served as Honorary consul of the Slovak Republic and has traveled extensively. Mr. Korn and his wife have three adult children and now live in Leesville, SC.
Aubrey Butto
Attorney
Aubrey Butto joined the Charleston Office of Moss and Associates in December of 2023 as an intake specialist. Aubrey graduated from the Virginia Military Institute in May of 2020 with her B.A. in English and French. She then attended the Charleston School of Law and received her J.D. in May of 2023. Outside of work, Aubrey enjoys fishing, painting, reading, and hiking.
Alli Corley
Lead Loan Modification Paralegal
Alli having her roots in Lexington South Carolina, started at Moss & Associates in early 2020 and has received a B.A from the University of South Carolina in the study of Psychology. Being a caring and devoted individual, Alli is the lead Loan Modification Paralegal at Moss & Associates along with exceptional skills and handling litigation and client outreach. Outside of work, Alli enjoys family and friends along with her love of her dogs Binx and Derrick.
Jade Dixon
Paralegal
Jade is a native of Rexburg, Idaho where she attended the College of Eastern Idaho and earned a degree in Applied Science and Legal Studies. She began her professional career in customer service before becoming a property manager for apartments geared toward housing for college students. Jade worked as a paralegal for the law firm of Thomasen Holman Wheiler in Idaho Falls, ID until 2023 when she and her family moved to Greenville, SC. She joined Moss & Associates, Attorneys PA in late 2023 and works as a paralegal in the Greenville office. Away from work, Jade spends her time with her husband and son. She enjoys hiking and pottery making.
Cailyn Duckett

Cailyn grew is lifelong Greenville native, growing up in the Berea area. She began her career as a legal assistant in the Greenville office of Moss & Associates, Attorneys PA in 2020. She was promoted to paralegal in 2022. Cailyn likes spending time with her husband Tyler and her dog, Yeti. In her spare time, she serves as a event planner and loves the outdoors.
Chianne Walling
Senior Litigation paralegal
Chi Anne is a committed professional with 16 years of experience in bankruptcy. Mrs. Walling earned her B.S. degree in Criminal Justice from the University of South Carolina in 2000. In 2001, she was trained as a bankruptcy paralegal with the Moss & Reed. In 2004, she accepted an opportunity to work in the legal department for the Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Trustee. Chi Anne worked for the Chapter 13 Trustee and gained great knowledge and experience in bankruptcy. She has earned a certificate of completion for Leadership at the National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees conference. Mrs. Walling has a passion for people and seeks to serve others as a litigation specialist for Moss & Associates.
Lindsey Swann
Senior Operations Paralegal
Lindsey, being a native of Irmo, South Carolina, began working at Moss & Associates in 2005 and finished her undergraduate degree in 2006 from the University of South Carolina where she received her B.A in Sociology. In 2008 Lindsey also received her Paralegal Certificate while working at Moss & Associates. With fierce determination and exceptional understanding of bankruptcy and civil law, Lindsey assumed the position of Senior Operations Paralegal where she resides today. Lindsey is caring and understanding and tries to help all staff and clients including high litigation and skillset within staff management and operation. Outside of work, Lindsey likes being at the beach and spending time with her family.
Katie Pimental

Katie also being a local from Lexington South Carolina, joined Moss & Associates as a Legal Assistant in 2015 following high school and ended up attending the University of Clemson with focus in Plant & Environmental Science. After Receiving her Undergraduate Degree, Katie re-joined Moss & Associates in early 2020 and found her specialty in Loan Modification. Due to the knowledge, skillset, and motivation to assist clients, Katie then filled in the position of lead Intake Paralegal. Outside of work, Katie enjoys spending time with friends and family.
Korey Williams
Operational Manager/SLPP Director/Paralegal
Korey being a local from Irmo South Carolina, started with Moss & Associates in late 2021 following graduation from The Citadel, Military College of South Carolina with a B.A in Criminal Justice. Having the Initiative, focus and determination, Korey filled the position of Student Loan Portal Program Director with the responsibility of developing, researching, and assisting clients with Federal Student Loans while in Bankruptcy. Following the Summer of 2023, Korey then also assumed the leadership role of Operational Manager at Moss & Associates and has devoted his time and skillset to the staff and clients of all Moss & Associates locations. Korey holds himself and the staff of Moss & Associates to value professionalism, benevolence, work ethic, and competence while in the workplace. Outside of work, Korey enjoys power lifting in the gym and spending time with family and friends.
Patrick Moss

Patrick also from Lexington, South Carolina started at Moss & Associates early 2018 as a legal assistant and exemplary staff for front operation in the Columbia Division. Today, Patrick is a versed Paralegal and devotes his skillset to the outreach of new clients, enforcing administrative tasks and has a passion for helping others within his profession. Outside of work, Patrick enjoys music, family, and friends.

Amanda with her roots in Seattle, Washington and Valencia, California, came to Columbia South Carolina in 2008. Having exceptional experience and knowledge within the realm of loans started at Moss & Associates in early 2024 where she started as interim Litigation Paralegal. Today, Amanda maintains her knowledge and understanding as a Litigation Paralegal and has a passion for helping others in need and enjoys getting to know clients. Outside of work, Amanda is a huge fan of the ocean and beaches found in the low county and values above all looking after her daughter.
Christina Scaruzzi

With her roots in Sicklerville, New Jersey, started her career as a Health Insurance broker and found her way to Columbia, South Carolina in the Summer of 2023. Christina started with Moss & Associates as a Interim Paralegal late 2023 where she diligently developed skills in areas of documentation intake and client outreach. Early 2024, Christina filled the position of Assistant Intake Paralegal where she specializes in complex client relations and review of documents for filings. Today Christina is a devoted exemplary employee and has a passion in helping those in need. Outside work, Christina enjoys regular excise and weightlifting at the gym and looking after her dog Lolly.
Hailey Maitland

With her roots in Chester, Virginia, Hailey moved to Columbia, South Carolina in late 2018. Hailey started with Moss & Associates in late 2023 as an interim Paralegal. Having an exemplary drive for success and fundamental understanding of work ethic and operation, Hailey maintains her position as a Paralegal and has a passion for helping those in need. Outside of work, Hailey loves spending time with friends and family along with traveling and caring for her son.
Tyler Parker

With his roots in Burlington, New Jersey, Tyler moved to Lexington South Carolina in 2008. In the summer of 2023 Tyler started with Moss & Associates as a legal assistant with skillsets in administrative task and client outreach. In late 2023, Tyler maintains his title as a Paralegal and specializes in attorney assistance with his utmost passion in helping clients. At the same time, Tyler is also finishing his Undergraduate degree in English at The University of Missouri St. Louis. Outside of work, Tyler enjoys reading and traveling as well as spending time with family and friends.
Natalie Dark

Natalie has worked as a paralegal with Moss and Associates, P.A. in various capacities since 2003. She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of South Carolina in Interdisciplinary Studies concentrating in Political Science and Management. She also has an Associate’s Degree as a paralegal/legal assistant. Natalie now lives in Alabama with her husband and three children. She obtained her Insurance License where she sells insurance working in a family business as well as continues to work for Moss and Associates.
Paulette Sarrizan

Paulette with her roots in Florence, South Carolina started working for Moss & Associates in the summer of 2023 with a passion and urgency to help clients succeed with a background in the United States Army. Paulette, also being well rounded and disciplined, has gone through great lengths to excel in her education and has received two master’s degrees from Francis Marian and Liberty University. Further, Paulette is a exceptional staff member in the area of communicating with clients and takes pride in being able to talk to anyone like they are family. Outside of work, Paulette enjoys looking after her daughter and spending time with friends and family.
Andrew Moss

Andrew, being a local from Lexington, South Carolina and a graduate from the University of South Carolina is a well versed and practiced staff member in the area of foreclosure prevention. Andrew, also having a work ethic centered around benevolence, takes pride in assisting clients that are facing foreclosure and creating a life changing avenue for those in need and showing them that hope exist in today’s difficult world. Outside of work, Andrew enjoys spending time with friends and family and also enjoys utilizing his pilots license and flying airplanes.
Paul Dawson

Paul is North Charleston’s office Supervisor. He earned a B.S. in Finance and an M.B.A. from Winthrop University. While attending Winthrop University he was a member of Tau Kappa Epsilon and served as President, Treasurer and Social Chairman. He is the firm’s Web Master, Google AdWords and Facebook Administrator. His favorite activities are kite surfing, mountain biking, weight training, and salt water jetty fishing.
